ChestertonHardback, published December 1926, first edition, 50 pages.A slim, rare volume in good condition, some signs of shelf-wear, fading to spine and spine-edge of boards. Gilt lettering on spine still visible and Chesterton's facsimile signature in gilt on front cover very clear. Bumped corners. Includes pamphlet from the Catholic Times in January 1927, just after publication of the book. Page edges display some browning and foxing but page surfaces generally clean with no underling, marginalia, etc.

Light red cloth boards, pictorial front board. Some fading to spine though title still very visible. Boards are a bit scuffed and a little marked but have retained much of their colour. Signs of rubbing and shelf-wear. Corners bumped. Binding reasonably firm. Page edges browned and a little foxed, staining to lower edge. FFEP has been mostly removed. A little foxing to endpapers and occasional marks throughout but otherwise page surfaces are clean, with no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
