London: Printed for the Trustees, 1912. First edition. Hardcover. Scuffing and some fading to covers, still sturdy and presentable and internally fine. (93), 316 pp. (introduction followed by the facsimile); quarto, half red morocco and boards, gilt spine title. Believed to date from the second decade of the 14th century and acquired by Queen Mary I in 1553, this lavishly illustrated psalter is believed to be the work of a single artist working in London and now known only as "the Queen Mary Master." The entire work is reproduced here in (monochrome) photolithographic facsimile.
