London, Sidgwick and Jackson Ltd.,, 1922.. 1922 xi, 276 p. Plans, Illustrations. First edition. Contemporary blue cloth binding as a Board of Admiralty prize with the Admiralty seal blocked in gilt on the front board and a prize label awarding a Prize for Science to Cadet A.J. Tynedale-Biscoe [sic] Christmas 1922. Light paper spotting, mostly to the fore edge margins. A very good copy. The Author was an R.N.V.R officer, based at Queenstown during the war and personally acquainted with some of the Q ships and their officers.
