Rag doll Jane meets many interesting characters, squirrels , cubs, soldiers, sailors, and clowns. 12" x 9 1/2" some wear on cover, dust jacket has heavy damage and tears.

There are three (3) paper dolls plus toys to be punched out on back cover. The story of Raggedy Ann and her adventure with her friends going out to find the end of the rainbow. 8" x 6 3/4" book in very good condition with some wear at corners of cover, has dust jacket but it has tears and repairs.

1860. Some signs of wear. Edges trimmed.. The "Raging Canal" was one of many songs that were created in reference to the Erie Canal and the hardships faced when traveling it. Originally written by P. Morris, there is a slightly comic take on what were usually more serious songs. 8" x 5 1/4

Philadelphia, PA: B. H. Rand, 1855. General wear, covers partially detached. Penciling.. A copy book, apart of B. H. Rand's series, "Introduction to Penmanship". This copy book is full of practice penmanship, both in regards to letters of the alphabet and signatures. These exercises are often on the margins of the pages, or over top of other text as the pages themselves are often full of lyrics to a variety of songs, such as "Zula Zong" (spelled Zuola Zong), "When You and I were Young Maggie", and "Home Again". These songs appear to have been either religious in nature or folk songs, most of which appear to have been published circa 1860-1870. These copy book appears to have been used by numerous people to practice their signatures. The majority of the names within the book appear to be connected to the Hemphill family of Due West, South Carolina. An 8" x 5 ½" easel back embossed die-cut valentine. Depicts a Revolutionary era gentleman on bended knee with a large package captioned ‘From Heart to Heart'. It opens to reveal a row of love birds and blue birds amidst vining roses. A small paper honeycomb at front. A verse at the base of the valentine reads "Accept the heart I offer here, And hold it in your keeping dear". The valentine was illustrated by Frances Brundage. Reverse marked Raphael Tuck Sons Ltd. Fine Condition.

Boston: Gould, Kendall & Lincoln, 1838. Fine.. Second edition of a book of multiplication tables by Charles W. Greene, educator and director of Greene's Academy in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Greene conceived of the project after discovering that having his pupils commit times tables to memory was an "irksome labor" (advertisement), and he sought an easier way to commit the arithmetic to memory. Square 12mo (5.5" by 4.75"), pp. 29, [1], with typographical tables. Sewn in contemporary (original?) plain paper wrappers, spine chipped. Checklist of American imprints, 19103. American Road Makers' Association, 10-Feb-04. General wear. A splattering of what appears to be coffee stains on the center spread of interior pages. Faint water stain on back cover.. The banquet was given by the Hartford Citizen's for the Road Makers Congress, which was an annual convention held by the American Road Makers' Association (ARMA) with the goal of promoting the means to make 'good roads' through design and construction methods. The item is the menu from the Congress' celebratory banquet which took place on February 10, 1904 at the First Regiment Armory was located on Elm Street in Hartford, CT. The menu from the reception features a list of the men on the executive committee for the convention as well as the reception committee, entertainment committee, finance committee, press committee, transportation committee, and hotel committee. Scranton, PA: Kiefer, 1878. Edge wear and toning.. A 3 1/4" x 7 3/8" Recipe and Plan to Manufacture The Excelsior Cream Soda. A cut of a young girl upper left followed by a fill in the blank printed recipe. The quantities of sugar, egg whites, water, bicarbonate of soda and tartace (sp) acid (tartaric??) This solution would be divided into parts for making different flavors. Add flavoring extract and Red Fruit Food Coloring as appropriate. Apparently a start-up or cottage industry that failed to materialize to a commercial enterprise.

Muncie, Indiana: Scott Printing Company, 1932. This is a chart that tracks the electorial college vote for the Presidential elections from 1876 to 1928. The chart divides the depicts each of the votes by state and year. It also states how many electoral college votes each state gets and which political party was voted for: Republican, Democrat, Progressive (Roosevelt), Progressive (LaFollette), or Populist. The purpose of this chart was to inform voters of previous years so that they might be able to make their own predictions for the presidential election of 1932. Turns out Franklin D. Roosevelt won over Herbert Hoover by a landslide. Some edge wear, and slightly soiled. The blue backing is slightly detached in the corners. Otherwise fine. Measures 9" x 4"
