Also laid in is a nice16pg. brochure for a series of his fims that were shown at the film society at Lincoln Center in 2014 and a nice foldover brochures for the dvd release of The Merchant of Four Seasons, Fox and his friends and The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant.

There are no identification marks so I have no idea what or where the still is f rom. In any case its a marvelous image. There is some small pieces missing from the white borders which do not intrude on the image and there is very faint small amount of creasing to the top edge, otherwise vg.

Hollywood: Metro Goldwyn Mayer. Original Still . Still. Rare original publicity still of two chorus girls in American Indian costumes no doubt from an early MGM musical. On the verso of the photo someone has written in pencil MGM March Of Time and there is an arcive rubber stamp from someone named Fritz Scharf, otherwise there is no other information. The photo is in fine condition.

Hosted by Patti LuPone and featuring the original cast, 14 of which have signed the cover of this program including BARBARA BARRIE, DEAN JONES, DONNA McKECHNIE. Unfortunately Elaine Strich has not signed the program. Also included is a book club edition of the musical. Includes the lyrics. No photos. Small chipping to the top and bottom of the spine panel, small crease to the top of the dustjacket and minute soiling. Fine/vg. Also laid in is are two different nice full color announcements for recent revival that was to star Patti Lupone and katrina lenik that got waylaid because of the pandemic. The more recent announcement is a foldover for the revival that opened in dec. of 2021. Sold as a collection only.

A rare and unusual original 8" x 10" candid publicity photograph of the great silent film star Douglas Fairbanks hanging off a cliff in what appears to be The Grand Canyon. The photograph is credited on the verso to Underwood & Underwood which was a very prominent company in the field of news bureau photography in the early part of the 20th century and was also pioneers in stereoscopic images. Fairbanks was of course one of the great stars of silent films who was mostly known for his action and fantasy movies ie The Thief Of Bagdad, Robin Hood, Zorro, The Black Pirate and many others and for doing his own usually dangerous stunts as this photograph attests to. He was also married to Mary Pickford and was one of the founders of United Artists and a true Hollywood superstar. Although not dated the photograph is most likely from the mid teens maybe 1917. There is a handwritten caption on the verso of the still that reads "Edmund Burns behind car side with hands in jacket." Edmund Burns was a rather minor and forgotten silent screen actor. The still has a few mended tears otherwise vg. and a wonderful image.
