American aviator Wrong Way Corrigan won fame when he set out for California and landed in Ireland. He claimed it was a navigation error but evidence shows it was intentional, after he was denied a permit to fly to Ireland. Corrigan was a skilled pilot and airplane mechanic who had worked on Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis. In this autobiography, he describes his hardscrabble life and the harrowing solo 28 hour, 3,000 mile journey from New York to Ireland in a single-engine, second-hand plane. A great read for aviation buffs.
