Blue cloth bound hardcover with color pastedown on front; 323 pp. with 20 beautiful color illustrations (the illustrator isn't identified) especially for this edition. A charming vintage book in very good condition. The frontis. plate is loose (see photos) the gilt titles are mostly faded on the spine and there's some age darkening to the cover. There's a neatly penned gift inscription dated "Christmas 1917" in front - otherwise unmarked. About the book: Brother and sister Charles and Mary Lamb's classic re-telling of 20 of Shakespeare's best loved plays. Illustrated beautifully in this vintage edition.
