London: Printed for J. Newbery at ye. Bible & Crown, without Temple Bar., 1745.. 1745 4to. [i], 129 leaves. Second edition. The first edition was published in 1743 and comprised only 103 leaves. Engraved throughout. Lacking the frontis. and the title page which is supplied in facsimile, but otherwise complete. Contemporary half calf binding, strongly rebacked at some time. Worn on the corners with loss but the boards are firmly attached. Some signs of use to the first few leaves, but overall a sound and attractive copy. Each song has a headpiece engraved by Thomas Kitchin who is better known as a cartographer and later became Hydrographer to the King.
