Second edition of the first biography of Saint Catalina Tomàs (1533-1574), a famous mystic from Mallorca born in Valldemossa, where her memory is honoured in July each year. A descendant of Ramon Lull, Catalina Tomàs often experienced extatic visions, realised prophecies and predicted the date of her own death. This work was published for the first time in 1617 but the present edition, the publication of which was undertaken shortly after the Saint's beatification in 1779, remained unfinished and was issued without the books V and VI of the original text.
