New York: D. Appleton, 1856. First Edition . Hardcover. Good. Village and Farm Cottages by Henry W. Cleaveland, First Edition. Some water damage. Ex library however none of the usual markings, just one line in pen. Front hinge is technically not cracked but weak. Back is good. Binding is fair to good. Great semi-technical look at houses of the time. I took a stroll through and really enjoyed many of the designs. You still see them around today, especially in more rural areas. Simon and Schuster, 1950. Hardcover. Good. Vintage Little Golden Book Lot Of 9 - Bugs Bunny, Howdy Doody, More. Some nice titles. Clean on inside except for owners name on about half of them. The dictionary has some extra scribbles on covers and title page, and random annotations throughout. Ranges from the late 40s to early 50s. Good. Contains 2 tricks. Abbott's Thimbleze and Abbot's Chinese Wonder Fan. Each is two pages. These tricks came out of a lot of 1940s and 1950s collectible magic memorabilia. While I cannot verify its age, I assume it is from the same era and the text and illustrations are consistent with that.

Good. Vintage Hand Colored Spotted Lizard Print, George Edwards c. 1760. From the famous book (originally published as two books), A Natural History of Uncommon Birds (1743-1751) and Gleanings of Natural History (1758-1764), by George Edwards. Done in Watercolor and another medium, likely acrylic (the blue). Paper is watermarked and consistent with the era. Condition is very good with some minor spotting shown. Contains 5 tricks total period cornucopia water vanish from max Holden's magic shops, Tannen's "Salt-Go" salt shaker trick, Silent Mora's silk production, Best yet cigarette by Percy Abbott (2 pages), and Tarbell's "Clean-Cut" Color changing handkerchief. These tricks came out of a lot of 1940s and 1950s collectible magic memorabilia. willimantic: st. josephs. Softcover, Wraps. Good. The revised tried and true cook book third edition compiled by members of auxiliary to St. Joseph's hospital and their friends. Willimantic Connecticut" A great piece of local Willimantic history. The raps are complete but detached. Small rips around the edges and Moderate to heavy staining throughout the book. Good. Vintage Hand Colored Crabs And Scorpions Print c. 1830 Natural History. Likely from Karl Joseph Brodtmann's Natural History, as this came from a lot of his other works, but I cannot confirm as I didn't find this piece anywhere else. It has the same lettering and size as others I've sold and listed. Certainly early to mid 19th century, Watercolor on engraving, done very well. A beautifully illustrated Book in very good condition period the first half of the book is dedicated to the short biographies and histories of each artist, while the second half of the book is completely devoted to full page illustrations. About half of the illustrations are in color and half are in black & white A great connection to 19th century Italy. Maintains its full beauty.
