Description:
Signed on title page by author with generic inscription ("Cheers!) and a small doodle. A nice clean copy, showing having been read a couple of times by a careful reader. New Adventures 71, featuring Bernice Summerfield but not The Doctor, as Virgin has lost the license. Uncommon.

Description:
Early Don Grant hardcover: per both the jacket and the inside limitation page, this is one of 350 copies, all signed. Chalker and Owings (3rd ed) say that Grant told them there were 500 copies, but that seems likely to be a lapse in Grant's memory (and Chalker/Owings has enough other errors, including in the Mirage Press entry, for me to take anything they say with a grain of salt). This book is a very early example of "sympathy for the monster" fiction, and includes the original sequel from Weird Tales, "The Werewolf's Daughter". A fairly scarce book: this copy is clean inside (as most are -- its owners must read very carefully); the jacket has several small tears, notably at the top and bottom of the spine, and a small line of discoloration on the right front side. It's also slightly folded over the top of the book, as if it hadn't been pressed down correctly at some point. The book presents well on the shelf.

Description:
Waller's second (and final) book under the Cody pseudonym. A very scarce supernatural thriller. This is as nice a copy as one could want: the unclipped jacket is clean and sharp, with very tiny nicks on the spine bottom and upper right corner, in a new jacket-protector. The spine is bumped at the top and bottom;the front corners are very crisp. The book is signed on the front free endpaper both as C. S. Cody (looks as if it was written with his non-dominant hand) and, below that. "alias, with love. Les Waller." No name on the inscription; this is from the collection of a family friend. Photos are of the actual book (hey, good luck finding a stock photo for this one!). First Edition stated on verso of title page, no indication of later printings. Specific photos of signatures, title page and verso available upon request.

Description:
First trade edition of Sturgeon's first book. There was a signed edition issued as well, and an advance copy of a single story ("It") -- this copy will do you just fine until you can find either of those scarcities. Sturgeon is one of the most important writers of science fiction/fantasy short stories. If you don't already know his stories, nothing I can say will convince you about buying this book. Get a cheaper edition, read his stories, then come back. This copy is interesting because it has laid in two index cards from Camille Cazdessus ("Caz" oin the signature) of Sargasso Book Shop, Lakewood CO: one of the early dealers in SF and fantasy books. The first one says "Ben -- sold our one copy of this boxed edition -- would you be satisfied with this? If not -- send it back and we'll refund $8.00. Okay? -- Caz" The other card says "Thanks!" in a significantly different handwriting. Both cards have The Sargasso Book Company rubber stamp. The "Ben" mentioned in the first card was probably Ben Solon,…
