Slightly shelf rubbed. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. A scholarly examination of the social and political background of the On-to-Ottawa Trek and Regina Riot in June - July 1935. It began as a walkout of unemployed men in British Columbia, coordinated by Communist-affiliated Relief Camp Workers’ Union, and was a direct challenge to the R.B. Bennett Conservative government and its handling of the single homeless unemployed during the Great Depression. Illustrated with black and white sketches and photographs. .
