This is a facsimile edition, licensed by the British Museum of Natural History, of a classic work of published 1875-88. Volume One of a series of five, this is sometimes known as the "Birds of Paradise" volume. Hardcover in red cloth with gilt titling to the spine and gilt museum crest on the front board. Patterned endpapers. Number "0566" stamped on the front paste down. 56 full colour plates with text. Minor wear only. No ownership markings.
