First Edition, First Printing. Near Fine/Near Fine. First Edition in clean original dust jacket, SIGNED by author's son. Clean red cloth boards with gold lettering on spine. No bumping or wear. Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean and bright. Inscribed by author's son on front free endpaper: "To Don, M.S W. loved the Cariboo and first encountered the Clinton where horseback was the means by which he made his visits - December 12, 1957 - M. Wade." On the front fixed endpaper there is a note from previous owner Don Mengiz which says: "This book was autographed for us by Mark Leighton Wade affectionately known as M.L., son of the author. M.L. was 95 years old in 1987." - Don Mengiz. Illustrated with black and white photographs. Large clean fold-out map at rear of book in perfect condition. Researched, annotated and indexed by Eleanor A. Eastick. 264 pages with index. Clean dust jacket has tiniest bit of wear at top spine edge. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover..
