An intimate documentary of seventy-three b/w photographs that follow the lives of a group of honest and open women who worked the travelling 'girl shows' in New England, Pennsylvania and South Carolina during the 1970s. Meiselas's candid interviews with the strippers, their boyfriends, the show managers, and the men who paying shows, makes this a fascinating book. Silver hardback book in good condition, and dust wrapper with a few edge creases and a small loss to the back. Overall very good. 230 x 265 mm (9 x 10½ inches) .
