About This Item

New York: Social Culture Publications. Very Good. 1922. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Paperback. This is a small format paperback book with cardstock covers and a glued spine. The book is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some light bumping and rubbing. There is one tiny nick to the bottom spine end. The text pages are clean and bright. Both endpapers have some generalized toning. "Color harmony is based on the concept of a color wheel. You can study up on the history of it here. Essentially, it is a wheel with all the colors formed in a circle. Primary colors are on three equally distanced points of the wheel. Typically these are Red, Blue and Yellow. In the field of painting, where the color wheel originated, these three primary colors were used to mix almost all other colors. In modern printing these are replaced with Magenta, Cyan and Yellow. Black is thrown in to create darker colors, thus C, M, Y, K." .
