Quarter bound in beige and blue boards with outline of Mt. Everest in white on front cover, beige lettering on blue background on sine. Some minor edgewear and rust stain at bottom from paper clip on front cover. Age toning to endpapers, very slight age toning to text. Paperclip mark at top of FFE and paper clip marks to REP and glue marks.

DJ has open tear to top of spine and several open tears to bottom. Age toning and chipping throughout, and DJ is price clipped on left fold at bottom.

This work contains 8 pages of phtographs in color and 48 pages in black and white with numerous maps, sletches, and drawings.

Expedition leaders John Hunt's aacount of the first successful ascent of Moutn Everest's summit in 1953 by Sir Edmund Hillary and tenzing Norgay.
