About This Item

Edinburgh; (1987 and 1986): T. T. Clark. Octavo. In three volumes: vol. I; I-VIII, xxxvii, 444pp. Vol. II; [445]-927ppXI-XVI) and a supplement volume On Romans and Other New Testament Essays; ix, 191pp. Besides what is undoubtedly the most serious analysis of the Epistle to the Romans issue (originally published in 1975 and 1979), is Cranfield's practical work on specialized topics as "the works of the law", "Sanctification as Freedom", the Old Testament for the Christian Life, the Virgin Birth, and several other special issues usually accessible without Greek except for the passage on the "faith of Christ" which deals with the issue on the usages of the genitive case in Greek and context. Bound in green cloth, spines lettered in gilt. A near fine set.
