London; Folio Society, 2012., 2012. Hard Cover. Octavo, pp. xiii, [1], 226. Illustrated throughout with sketches, photographs and plans. Publisher's blue cloth with silver titles to spine and silver and black castle motifs to spine and upper board housed in a dark blue slipcase; dark blue endpapers. Extremely slight soiling to slipcase rear panel and very light surface scuffs. Overall a fine book in a near fine slipcase. Lawrence's Crusader Castles was first published, posthumously, in 1936 by the Golden Cockerel Press as a limited edition consisting of two volumes: The Thesis and The Letters. This Folio edition follows the text of the 1936 edition, with minor emendations and combines the two volumes.
