Kansas City, MO: Sheed, Andrews & McMeel, Inc, 1976. First edition. Hardcover. Very good/very good. SIGNED. 89pp. Octavo [22 cm] Tan paper covered boards with a brown ink stamped title on the spine. The rear board is just a hair warped. Several letters of the spine title have been nearly rubbed away. There are a couple of small indentations to the covers at the fore-edges. Book still quite bright and fresh. In a dust jacket, with a small open tear to the rear panel. Illustrated with photographs. Author's first work and the first volume in the author's trilogy. The second and third works were titled 'Giving Birth to Thunder, Sleeping with his Daughter' (Animal Notes) and 'River Notes' respectively.
