About This Item
Cambridge: The MIT Press, 1999. Hardcover. 256 pg. hardcover in dust jacket. Mild shelfwear to dustjacket, else very good. Illustrated profusely with charts, figures, computer-generated art. To create this book, Maeda developed his own computational process and programming language that he calls Design By Numbers or DBN for short. Maeda is known for his short tenure as President of the Rhode Island School of Design where his frequent tweeting caused friction with faculty members, resulting in their passing a vote of no confidence.
