New York: William Farquhar Payson, [1932].. Oblong quarto. Light sky blue cloth, with printed label (after a design by Wright). Photographs. Cloth faded through dust jacket around spine, thumb-tip size rust mark to top edge of rear cover, neat private bookplate on pastedown, a bit of the usual tanning to the endsheets, a couple of spots on fore-edge (one extending slightly into the fore-edge of the rear free endsheet), but a very good copy in slightly rubbed and dusty pictorial dust jacket with a small, narrow chip at top edge of the front panel and some sunning to spine. First edition, in the second state binding. "This is the first book in which Wright defined his proposal for a decentralized, agrarian society based on the proper use of the machine" - Sweeney. SWEENEY 328.
