Blue/green cloth hardback with color illustrated label/pastedown on front showing Dorothy and the Wizard and title in white; spine with dark blue embossed lettering and Tin Man; some edging on bottom and top of spine; tight binding, clear, unmarked, bright pages. On first page, pencilled name of previous owner in child's writing on ownership page. No dust jacket.
This story is the 4th in the series; introduction by author, Coronado, California, 1908.
An early printing of the Rielly & Lee publication. Copyright 1908; no printing nor number line stated. Circa 1930's right before/at the time of the movie release in 1939.
Illustrated throughout with black etchings by John R. Neill. No color plates.

Synopsis
Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz is the fourth book set in the Land of Oz written by L. Frank Baum and illustrated by John R. Neill. It was published on June 18, 1908 and reunites Dorothy with the humbug Wizard from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. This is one of only two of the original forty Oz books (the other being The Emerald City of Oz) to be illustrated with watercolor paintings. Baum, having resigned himself to writing a series of Oz books, set up elements of this book in the prior Ozma of Oz.
