Description:
Size: 28 x 22.5 x 3.1 cm Weight 1285 grams:

One volume only. A collectable topographical book, with 50 fine engravings throughout (including title) from paintings by J. D. Harding : G. Balmer : E. W. Cooke : T. Creswick : and other eminent artists. Contains 162 numbered pages of text describing each locality the prints are from. Covers gilt and blind embossed and spine decorated with gilt designs and text. The book block has all edges gilt. The Plates start at Berwick, Berwickshire and finish at Tintagel Castle, Cornwall. See the 2 pictures of List of Plates for all Plate locations.

Condition:
Both Covers are worn, bumped and detached, but present. There is a small book plate on the inside front cover. There are three pages still attached to the front cover. Spine is chipped and worn. Foxing is present to various degrees on the plates. The Letterpress text is clean as are the tissue guards on each plate.

If the plates are wanted for mounting and framing it is possible to have them cleaned professionally.
