From the library of Weston Hall-in-Arden) (Weston under the then ownership of Francis Newdigate (a soldier, politician and former Governor of Bermuda). The front pastedowns have his emblem with "F N" in pencil above both. The frontispages have Book-case labels (dated: 1894). The red boards have wear all about, scuffing, storage and handling marks. The spines are elderly, sun-faded, benign, sure. The boards are blind-stamped. They are sure and steady. The contents of both books are pleasing. Whilst there are age-related / owner marks and annotations to the front and later pages, the subsequent pages are healthy and assured.
