New York: Macmillan, 1931 Mauve cloth with a pictorial paper title label, endpapers browned, gift inscription else clean and bright; pictorial dust jacket in pieces, mended on verso, fragile with small losses, original price intact ($2.50). Two girls create a large boy doll, but they can't seem to find the right object for his head. They take a long journey to find just the right thing. The book is quite an adventure and nearly wordless, illustrated with fantastic artwork on every page, each page bordered in teal. "Head for Happy does not so much do without words as make words do something vital, punctuate the story line and expel emotion." Bader pages 81-4. This is a rare, early Helen Sewell title..
