London: John Van Voorst, 1842. First Edition. Hardcover. Good+. Small 4to. Pp. xv, 250, [2 of publishers advertising]. Illustrated with 205 woodcuts. Later 19th C. green cloth, titles stamped in gilt on the spine, blind stamped borders on front and back, pale yellow endpapers. Stains to front cover, middle signatures loose, hinges split, head edge dust soiled, leaves crisp and bright. Owner ink signature on front endpaper, perhaps "W. N. Guise Dec. 1847." The second book on heraldry from Moule (1784-1851), also a bookseller and important mapmaker.
