About This Item

New York: The Macmillan Company. Very Good in Good dust jacket. 1954. First Edition; Third Printing. Hardcover. This book is a sequal to her first book, "O Rugged Land of Gold," and describes her and husband Don's experiences in building a homestead as well as family home life in the Alaskan wilderness "with a mountain behind them and the Pacific Ocean in front." Original blue cloth publisher's covers with white spine and cover lettering. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. The dust jacket has some marginal wear, especially to the top and bottom edges, but looks quite presentable now that it is in a protective, removable, acetate cover. This is the stated third 1954 printing and has a 3.50 publisher's price inside the front flap of the jacket. The dust jacket is now in a protective, removable, acetate cover. [Note: Another edition of this book was printed in London by Victor Gollanz with a title change to "Home IN the Bears Domain" -- both editions were released in 1954.] ; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 246 pages .
