London, Rudolph Ackermann, Eclipse Sporting Gallery, 1843 1st. Hardback, 9.75 x 6.5 inches. Full crushed red morocco leather fine binding by Bayntun (Riviere). Raised banding, gilt panelling, and sporting vignettes to spine. Full gilt page edging. Marbled endpapers and gilt inner dentelles. In very good condition. Spine and edges of rear board a little sunned, some minor staining to boards on bottom and corner/spine edges. Some rubbing to corners. Some mild foxing to endpapers, no penned inscriptions. A couple of minor handling marks else pages and plates all very clean, bright and tight throughout. Else a very good clean and tight copy in Riviere binding. x + 332pp. Illustrated by 32 B&W engraved plates (including frontis and decorative title page and 9 plans (maps)), and pictorial letterpieces and vignettes by Wildrake, Henderson and Alken.
