London: Printed for Bernard Lintot. Fair. 1736. Hardcover. ; The fourth edition. Complete 6 volume set. Tan calf leather boards are worn at extremities and leather spines crackled and peeling. Front board of volume 1 holding by a thread and front board of volume 6 detached but present. All other boards are attached and holding well but hinges starting. Boards and spines are straight. Bindings of text tight. Early owner's name in antiquated ink front end sheet dated 1741 and another early owner's name on title page. Pages are lightly toned with modest foxing but in very good condition. Engraved headpieces and tailpieces. Engraved plates as follows: vol. 1, 1 folding plate plus 1 folding map and 5 more plates including frontis. Vol. 2, 1 folding plate and 4 more plates. Vol. 3, 4 plates. Vol. 4, 4 plates. Vol. 5, 1 folding plate and 5 more plates. Vol. 6, 3 plates. This being a total of 29 plates. Adverts at rear of 5 volumes of books printed for Bernard Lintot. .
