Later edition, originally published 1909. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, sixty-nine colour plates with tissue guards, and a folding map to the rear. Collated complete. A detailed guide to Kashmir, with chapters on the scenery and seasons, surrounding neighborhoods, gardens, valleys, places of interest, sport, people, history, and much more. Written by Lieutenant Colonel Sir Francis Edward Younghusband, a British Army officer, explorer and spiritual writer. Illustrated by Major Edward Molyneux, a British painter. In the original full pictorial cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and the odd mark to the boards. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spine resulting in light fraying. Front hinge just starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting and minor age toning to the endpapers. Good
