Hardcovers, each 6.5 x 9.5 inches, have red cloth-covered boards with black spine and cover lettering; front covers have a small black illustration of a sailing ship. Color and black and white photographs. High-quality glossy paper. Spine titles list countries in each volume. Volumes are paginated continuously in sets of 4-5 volumes; total of approximately 2700 pages. NOT ex-library. Bindings tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Covers have very light surface and edge wear; spine ends lightly bumped and rubbed. Some volumes have two small dark spots on the spine due to darkening from the internal binding material. Pages clean and unmarked. No dust jackets. Volumes are overall in very good condition, with the following exceptions: Vols. 2 & 12 have one page each with light foxing; Vols. 1, 18, & 29 each have a small area of text or photo that is damaged on two pages that were stuck together; Vol. 29 has a spine lean; Vol. 30 has insect damage to the top corner and fore edge of the front free endpaper only; and Vols. 3, 4, 12 & 15 have a small spot on the front or the back cover.
