About This Item

Boston, U.S.A. Ginn & Company Publishers, 1897. Boston ,U.S.A. Ginn & Company Publishers (1897). Maroon Cloth over boards, leather spine. Gold lettering. Very Good/No DJ. Excellent overview of American history with enough detail to provide lots of jumping off points for further research. I use it for home schooling and am now assigning parts of it to my kids to read on their own. This book helped me condense all the important facts for writing lectures and gave me confidence I wasn't leaving out any major themes or events. I like that it takes a more traditional western-centric view and points out the benefits of the Industrial-Revolution, something today's textbooks fail to do. (Good Read, comment from a teacher). Boston, U.S.A. Ginn & Company Publishers, 1897. First edition. See photos. 336 pages plus many other pages of references and copies of documents. Maroon Cloth over boards, leather spine. Gold lettering, clean, two plates-first on front paste down, 2-on verso of title page, Ginn and Company Publishers label, presented to George R. Smith for Examination, signature Ginn Leon. Body of the book, at beginning slightly wavy about 10 pages, book is very solid, no pulling of spine, text clean , no soiling, no writing, very few brown spots. Many maps, illustrations, prints of famous people Daniel Webster, Washington before the revolution, General Lee, etc.
