Bound in black blindstamped cloth with light wear at spine ends. Top edge gilt. Name to front endpaper as well as the fore-edge. Remains a respectable copy. Robert Stephen Hawker (1803 - 1875) was an Anglican priest, poet, antiquarian of Cornwall and reputed eccentric. The author, Byles, was his son-in-law.
