Large octavo; publisher's cloth in pictorial dust jacket retaining original price ($5.00), black topstain, photo-illustrated endpapers; xvi,422pp.; portrait frontispiece, twenty-eight (28) leaves of illus. printed on rectos and versus, plus four maps, two folding (collated complete). Jacket quite wrinkled and worn at margins with numerous closed tears with subsequent creasing and old tape repair to verso, shallow loss at spine crown touching text without loss of meaning, spine panel faded, corners bumped, small ownership rubberstamp to front free endpaper. Overall a Very Good copy in a Good only copy of the jacket. Signed by the author on front flyleaf.
