Owner's name and date to endpaper where there are three spots of tape residue, a touch of rubbing to spine extremities and to cover corner tips, the spine is slightly darkened, otherwise Very Good (-); no dust jacket perhaps as published. Grey cloth, beige cloth spine with gold spine title, top edge gilt, vi, 452pp, then [5] pages of publisher's offerings. tissue-protected frontis and 10 other tissued-protected plates of artist's portraits.
