Spine lightly sunned with spine ends lightly rubbed, covers lightly soiled – especially rear cover, else an internally clean, tight copy with all plates in fine condition.

First "Maude Adams Edition" with photography from the play. J.M. Barrie's charming tale of a young, impoverished minister tending to his first congregation who falls in love with a beautiful and mysterious gypsy. This handsome edition features photographs of the 1897 dramatization of the 1891 novel with famed stage actress Maude Adams. This was Barrie's best-known work until his creation of Peter Pan – which also starred Maude Adams!
