FIRST EDITION 1901, small 8vo, 125 x 80 mm, 5 x 3 inches, light green cloth striped and lettered dark green, pages: (8), 95. 24 very attractive colour plates by Henry Mayer, each of a child in national costume, (X and Y omitted but Z is there for 'Zany' showing a child dressed as a clown). "A for Arab; C for Chinaboy; H for Hungarian; I for Indian (native American); J for Japanese; K for Kaffir; U for United States" etc. Text and plates printed 1 side only. No inscriptions, minute bump at head of spine, some inner joints partly cracked, binding tight and sound. A near Fine clean bright copy. MORE IMAGES ATTACHED TO THIS LISTING, ALL ZOOMABLE.
