Dust jacket code: 010-013. Price code on jacket 0100. NOT ex-library. Hardcover has red, green, and yellow striped covers with black silhouette decorations. Red cloth-covered spine has gold spine lettering and decorations. Top page edges are dyed yellow. Illustrated endpapers have green silhouette of four girls in a garden. Color frontispiece and three additional color plates. Black and white illustrations. illustrations by Hilda von Stockum. Introduction by May Lamberton Becker. 537 pages. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with minor fraying at tips. Covers have light surface and edge wear. . Name in ink on front free endpaper, dated 1946. Series title page has light vertical crease. Fore-edges of pages have a few light smudges. Pages very lightly tanned at periphery but still supple. Pages clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has overall surface rubbing, chipped and nicked edges, small to 1 inch tears, and creases. Jacket has light soiling on edges and a few faint stains; spine of jacket is lightly sunned. Dust jacket is NOT price clipped. Jacket is in removable clear plastic protective cover. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
