Boston: Charles T. Branford, 1953. Reprint. Hardcover. Very good. Large octavo (25 cm). Green cloth with gilt front illustrations and spine titling. Includes "Cats, Wolves, and Foxes; Parts 1 and 2," "Bears, Raccoons, Badger, and Weasels; Parts 1 and 2," "Deer, Antelope, Buffalo, Sheep, and Peccary; Parts 1 and 2" and "Squirrels, Rabbits, Armadillo, and Opossum; Parts 1 and 2." Fifty maps and 1500 illustrations by the author, including numerous photographic plates. Previous owner's name on front free endpapers. Rubbing and bumping to edges and corners, with fading to text of spines. Minor foxing and staining to text block edges of a few of the volumes, and damp staining to boards of two volumes. A reissue of this landmark study from 1925 - 28, [Phillips, p. 339. Biscotti, p. 396]
