Publisher's black cloth gilt, very good, no jacket, light wear, spine a little dull, text clean, no marks, a little toned; some light paperclip rust marks on rear endpaper and a "D" on the pastedown in black crayon. 339 pp. Very uncommon in the first edition, and one of the author's best known and most influential books. Lewis was a noted Rosicrucian author, occultist, and mystic, was the founder in the US and the first Imperator of the Ancient and Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC), from 1915 until 1939.
