Illustrator: Photographic. A Centenary Message from H.R.H. Prince Philip, foreword by Lieutenant-General the Honourable Sir Edmund Herring, K.C.M.G., K.B.E., D..S.O., M.C., E.D., K.St.J.,s by author, acknowledgements, list of illustrations, 14 appendices, bibliography and index. Colour photographic frontispiece, being a reproduction of the certificate of membership for original members in 1881. The text is illustrated with numerous black-and-white photographs, including reproductions of documents. Navy blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured club emblem to the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the back strip. The Centenary history of The Naval and Military Club of Melbourne, founded in 1881; describing the club's progress from its founding fathers, along with its members and their service to their country. Softening of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners. Major flecking of the book panels with age toning of the text block edges and panels.
