About This Item
London: William Heinemann Ltd. 1946. First edition, first printing. First edition, first printing. Original navy cloth with silver titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A near very good copy, the binding square and firm with some bumping at the edges and corners, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with a short closed tear to the fore-edge of page 21, a few faint spots to the margins and a few slightly creased corners, are otherwise clean and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the heavily rubbed, creased and darkened dustwrapper that is chipped with loss to the spine tips. Not price-clipped (8s 6d on the front flap). An uncommon collection of thirty seven short stories. Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request. Lucius Books welcomes direct contact with our customers.
