Hardback, 1951, first edition, published by George Allen & Unwin Ltd, London, 218 pages+ with short publisher catalogue at rear.
Octavo/8vo, measures around 7 3/8" by 5 1/8" by 3/4". No dust jacket. Yellow cloth binding, green lettering to spine. A little marking and scuffing to binding but reasonably clean. Some discolouration and marking to spine. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges, small tear at base of spine. Slightly bumped corners. Binding quite firm. Page edges lightly browned, scuffed and marked but quite clean. Some foxing to endpapers, bookplate on front pastedown. Slight tanning. The odd mark to page surfaces but otherwise clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
