Norristown PA Pennsylvania German Society, 1937, hardcover. First Edition, printed by The Haddon Craftsmen, Camden, New Jersey. The 38 color plates were engraved by Lotz Photo Engraving Company of Philadelphia. -- The text addresses classes and texts of the art, designs, equipment, symbolism, etc. -- Laid in are: a letter to the Society member about this book; Admit Bearer card 1938 to Society Headquarters; four 4x4-inch Glidden paint chips D series. -- Large hardcover, oblong 15.5x11 inches, bright gilt cover titling, cover edges beveled. Condition: very good (tan cloth is lightly but widely soiled, with three more evident spots; endsheets have some offset discoloration). -- Pages and plates (many are smaller than the page size) are clear and bright.
