About This Item

Washington, D.C.: Black Sun Press, 1948. Near Fine. 1 paper portfolio containing loose leaves of text, prints, and music. Edited by Caresse Crosby. Complete except that Contemporary Greek Literature by K. T. Dimaras, called for in the Introduction, is replaced with plate 8, Island Sketches by Athina Tarsouli (1884-1975), as usual. With texts by Theotokas, Calas, Cambas, Nicolareizis, and others. Illustrations by Moralis, Kanellis, Kapralos, Diamantopoulos, and others. Music for Tennesee Williams' The Glass Menagerie by Manos Hatzidakis (1925-1994). Includes one leaf recommending other publications and book stores to the subscribers and indicating that the next two issues of Portfolio were to be: no. VII Negro, and no. VIII Irish. Unfortunately, this was the final issue. Contents are in Near Fine Condition: occasional light soiling; otherwise, clean and crisp. Portfolio is in Good Condition: closed tears and loss along folds; pencil notations on outside; solid.
