Introduction by author. 1/4 green coloured cloth covered back strip with gilt coloured titles. 3/4 black coloured boards. Photographic dustwrapper with white and pale blue coloured titles to the front panel and gold coloured titles to the back strip. Black and white photograph of author to the rear fold over panel. In this book the author turns his attention on the people who remained in Sarajevo when the war began:  his brothers and sisters, men women and children of Sarajevo " ... who have, for various reasons, remained in their beloved yet troubled city and watched it fall around them as they attempt to live their lives as normally as possible. The book is composed of vignettes, accounts of the everyday lives of real people living in an unreal situation. Told in their own words, they reveal the courage of a people and the brotherhood that this war has taught them."  from the front fold over panel blurb.
