Spine ends rubbed and discolored. Names on front endpaper. Inside covers and endpapers yellowing. A few pages very lightly soiled. Otherwise, pages yellowing, but clean and tight in binding. Pages remain bright and clear with minimal tanning. Price sticker and pencil inscriptions to front. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. There is bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Splits and fraying to cloth at spine ends. Tanning to spine causing discolouration. Gilt lettering is bright and clear still.

Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Paper cover has mild edge-wear with light rubbing and creasing. Some light marking and tanning.

This book is in good condition. There is some wear on the front, back, spine, edges and corner of the cover. There is some dog-earring on the right corner pages of the book. The pages are white, crisp and clear of any markings. "This is a history of the visual arts produced in the geographical area that now constitutes the United States. Such a book is difficult to title. A History of United States Art sounds awkward and logically might even be construed to exclude the arts of the colonial period.
