NY: Knopf, 1931. First edition. One of 619 copies on handmade paper and signed by the author at the limitation page. Full marbled cloth over boards with leather gilt title label at spine and red satin ribbon bookmark. T.e.g. Rubbing to front and back covers, plus other exterior rubs, slight soiling to interior pages, else very good. Bookplate of Estelle Doheny.
Synopsis
This tale was published in 1931. Willa Cather's Shadows on the Rock tells the tale of a young girl, her widower father, and their friends, all of them working to make a life for themselves in Quebec in 1697.
