Bound in publisher's tan cloth with red lettering and ornamentation to spine and front board. Glossy color/b&w photographic dj. Plain white endpapers. 309 numbered pp, plus one blank to end; eight glossy b&w photo pp w/o nos. List of illus, "The Chapter before the first", then 21 chaps; photos. Condition notes: a notably worn copy; price-clipped dustjacket w heavy wear, sunning to spine, staining to tail edge, numerous small tear and chips to edges. Binding - spine ends rolled, corners bumped, relic of moisture stain to tail of rear board and spine; binding square and sound, edges lightly tanned but clean. Interior generally tanned, but no notes or highlighting; stain that afflicts rear board also appears to tail of rear endpapers, and the back half of the volume. A collectible copy of a well-known and inspiring tale. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
